SCHIPHOL, 25 June 2019 – Independent World Services B.V. (IWS) has signed a lease agreement as per 1 September 2019 for the last available unit of c. 8,000 sqm in AMS Cargo Center at Schiphol Logistics Park. Due to this the multi-tenant warehouse of c. 34,000 sqm is fully leased.

Independent World Services (IWS) is an existing tenant in AMS Cargo Center and is expanding to more than 17,000 sqm by leasing this remainig unit. IWS offers various solutions for foreign parties that considers to move to The Netherlands due the approaching Brexit. IWS recruits personnel through its own employment agency Neutral Freight Academy, which can also make use of the existing customs permit. As a result, the time that a company normally requires to implement such factors will be considerably shorter. The expansion will be used primarily by existing clients, such as Neele-Vat Air B.V. and the British company RIF Worldwide Plc. The latter has chosen to intensify its collaboration with IWS due to the Brexit.

Across the street of AMS Cargo Center, the construction works of AMS Cargo Center II are in full swing with the aim to deliver it early December. AMS Cargo Center II concerns a Breeam “Very Good” distribution center of c. 32,000 sqm, divided in seven individual sections varying in size from c. 3,600 sqm. The first tenant – Rutges Cargo Europe and JM Logistics – has already been contracted and covers 6,000 sqm.

The location is easily accessible and clearly visible from the A4 highway (Amsterdam – The Hague). The cargo platform of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is accessible within less than five minutes.

AMS Cargo Center I and II were developed in a JV by Built to Build and Proptimize, designed by Denc and constructed by Van der Heijden. Deka Immobilien has acquired both buildings for one of its funds. Cushman and Wakefield and Industrial Real Estate Partners are assigned for the leasing.
