Deka acquires AMS Cargo Center at Schiphol Logistics Park

SCHIPHOL, 4 June 2018 – German real estate manager Deka Immobilien has exchanged contracts to secure the purchase of AMS Cargo Center from Built to Build and Proptimize.

AMS Cargo Center is located on Schiphol Logistics Park and concerns a new multi-tenant warehouse with a total surface of c. 34,000 sqm, divided in five sections starting at 4,000 up to 6,000 sqm each and includes 229 parking spaces. The location comprises a high attention value towards the highway A4 (Amsterdam – The Hague) and is furthermore directly situated next to the provincial highway N201. The cargo platform of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is accessible within less than five minutes.

The first two tenants of AMS Cargo Center are Independent World Services (IWS) and ViaEurope that signed leases for in total c. 14,500 sqm. The remainder – c. 19,500 sqm – is available for rent. The delivery of the building will take place by the end of July.

AMS Cargo Center is developed in a JV between Built to Build and Proptimize and designed by DENC Architects. Van der Heijden Bouw & Ontwikkeling is responsible for the construction works. De Mik Bedrijfshuisvesting (commercial) and Osborne Clarke (legal) advised the JV. Baker & McKenzie (legal) and Cushman & Wakefield (technical) acted on behalf of Deka. The vendor of the land is Schiphol Area Development Company (SADC).
