PRESS RELEASE
SCHIPHOL, 10 September 2018 – After the successful completion of AMS Cargo Center last month, Built to Build and Proptimize start with the development of AMS Cargo Center II.
AMS Cargo Center II will be realized at the Changiweg on Schiphol Logistics Park, directly across the road of AMS Cargo Center. The building distinguishes by its unique design and visibility from the highway A4 (Amsterdam – The Hague). The entrances to the offices are accessible from the parking deck on the 1st floor, which also offers space for 117 passenger cars. The forecourt comprises four individual loading pits for trucks, each with their own entrance and exit and another 79 parking spaces.
After delivery AMS Cargo Center II consist a Breeam ‘Very Good’ distribution center with a total surface of c. 32,000 sqm, divided in seven individual sections varying from c. 3,600 to a maximum of 32,000 sqm. An additional parking need can be managed via the adjacent and fully fenced parking plot of c. 18,000 sqm, designed to facilitate 117 parking spaces for trucks and/or additional parking spaces for passenger cars.
The construction works are expected to start in February 2019 and the complex will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2019.
Same as its predecessor AMS Cargo Center II will be developed in a JV between Built to Build and Proptimize. The complex has been designed by DENC Architects. The vendor of the land is SADC.
“With the development of AMS Cargo Center II at Schiphol Logistics Park-West, a coherent development is created with the look & feel of a logistics campus. The development is a great finalization of the sale of the large-scale logistics plots at Schiphol Logistics Park and fits nicely with the first allotment of land at Schiphol Trade Park across the highway A4”, said Anne Peters, Sales manager of SADC.
