The Municipality of Almere recently concluded a land option agreement with developer Distri Development – a joint venture between Proptimize and Built to Build – for the development of a large-scale distribution centre of more than 36,000 sqm on the Stichtsekant business park in Almere.
The Stichtsekant business park is located along the A27 motorway which has direct links to the A1, A2 and A6. DistriMere is a high-quality distribution centre covering a total area of 36,015 m2, distributed across 32,470 sqm of warehouse space with 2,810 sqm of mezzanine and 735 sqm of office space on a 51,761 sqm plot and has been designed by DENC architects. The parties’ aim with DistriMere is to respond to the scarcity of high-quality large-scale distribution centres in the Greater Amsterdam region and Central Netherlands.
The developer and municipality are aiming to complete the DistriMere development by the end of 2017 CBRE and JLL are the agents responsible for lettings.
