Proptimize signs five new long-term lease agreements and strengthens sustainability initiatives in The Mark

Proptimize has recently concluded five new long-term lease agreements for office building The Mark in Rotterdam, with a total floor area of approximately 5,500 m².

Starting in early 2024, Stichting deRotterdamseZorg, Stichting Samergo, Keylane Life & Pension B.V., and Danfoss B.V. will be welcomed as new tenants. The distinctive office building, The Mark, in Rotterdam, spans over 23,000 m² and is located in the heart of the Brainpark III business park, directly along the A16 and a short walking distance to the Rotterdam-Kralingse Zoom metro station.

As a co-owner and asset manager of the property, Proptimize has actively invested in the implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives. Some highlights of these initiatives include:

  • BREEAM NL-In Use certification: The building has successfully achieved the BREEAM NL-In Use certificate ‘Very Good.’
  • Energy label improvement: The Mark has undergone a significant upgrade from an EPA-U energy label A to level A++.
  • LED lighting with sensor detection: Installed in common areas, the parking garage, and the exterior facade.
  • Charging facilities: 46 parking spaces with charging stations for electric cars and specific charging points for bicycles.
  • Artificial Intelligence system ‘Brainbox’: An advanced AI system linked to the building management system for optimizing and enhancing climate sustainability.
  • New representative meeting center: A central meeting place for all tenants, designed to optimize office space usage and make it more sustainable.

The sustainable heating and cooling storage (WKO) of The Mark is currently undergoing further sustainability improvements through extensive maintenance, while Proptimize is committed to further sustainability efforts in the coming years.

The Mik Real Estate Partners, in collaboration with Ooms Makelaars Bedrijfshuisvesting, facilitated the new transactions on behalf of Proptimize. Danfoss B.V. was advised by Cushman & Wakefield, and Keylane Life & Pension B.V. by CBRE B.V.

After these recent lease transactions, approximately 4,300 m² of office space will be available for rent in the building in 2024.
